
Rashid Minhas Death Anniversary Is Being Observed Today.

Pakistan Air Force pilot Rashid Minhas, who received Nishan Haider (the highest military gallantry award of Pakistan), passed away 53 years ago today and his death anniversary is being observed across Pakistan today.
On the occasion of the 53rd martyrdom anniversary of Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas according to ISPR, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Services Chiefs paid solemn tribute to the martyr.
On this day in 1971, at the age of 20, Rashid Minhas achieved a feat that made the whole of Pakistan proud. Rashid’s fighter plane was being hijacked and taken to India, which was carrying Pakistan’s confidential information. Minhas thwarted the hijackers’ act and martyred himself.
