Pakistan Showing Solidarity With Armed Forces By Celebrating Defence Day Remembering Those Who Sacrifice Their Life For Soil Of Country.

Pakistan is celebrating its 59th Defence Day, today September 6 remembering the sacrifices of military officers who accept martyrdom in defence of the country.

Changing of the Guard programs were held at Allama Iqbal’s shrine and Quaid Muhammad Ali Janna’s shrine

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on behalf of the chairman joint chiefs of staff committee, Services Chiefs and Armed Forces, issued a statement saying that they “On the eve of the 59th Defence and Martyrs Day, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Services Chiefs, and the Pakistan Armed Forces proudly commemorate the triumphant legacy of the 1965 War, a paradigm of the nation’s indomitable will and unyielding spirit.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Said About Defence Day, “Today, I join the entire nation in honouring the sacrifices of our soldiers and martyrs, as well as all those who have fought valiantly for Pakistan’s defence.”

“Let us draw inspiration from our shuhada and ghazis to defend and rebuild Pakistan with the same Spirit of September, In line with the vision of our Quaid, Muhammad Ali Jinnah by embracing the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion to chart a course towards a brighter future for our beloved Pakistan.” Further added by PM .

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari shared his words on the day and said. “This day reminds us of our unwavering national commitment to defend our sovereignty,” he wrote in a message on the PPP website. Our armed forces are alert and always ready to respond to any challenge to national sovereignty and national integrity,” he said. “Our forces are equipped with adequate defence equipment, have the required professional skills and are committed to protect the country from all challenges.” Pakistan People’s Party website published.

There was speculation that there will be a public holiday on Defence day 6 September but yesterday Ministry Of Information And Broadcasting reacted to that and announced that there is no public holiday leave that will not be granted.
