Afghanistan Cricket Board ACB on Wednesday issued a statement that they have banned Afghanistan player Ihsanullah Jannat for five years. For violating the Code of Conduct of Afghanistan Cricket Board ACB and ICC.

The official statement shared on Twitter/X by Afghanistan Cricket Board.

“BREAKING: Top-order batter Ihsanullah Janat has been banned for 5 years from all cricketing activities for breaching ACB and ICC Anti-Corruption Codes during KPL2. He admitted to violating Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Code.”

Jannat has been banned by the Afghanistan Cricket Board for violating the ICC’s anti-corruption codes in the second edition of the Kabul Premier League. Jannat will not be able to play any form of cricket for five years, the Afghanistan Cricket Board said in a statement.

“Janat has been banned from all forms of cricketing activities for five years following breaches of the ACB and the ICC [International Cricket Council] Anti-Corruption Codes during the second edition of the Kabul Premier League 2024,”

“Janat has admitted to the charges and confessed to his involvement in corrupt activities.”The ban on Janat takes effect immediately, the ACB said.

The process of banning Jannat will be implemented immediately and Jannat has also admitted that he was involved in corruption activities. Some other players are also under the investigation process.
