Fiverr Issues A Notifications To Pakistani Freelancers To Unavailable Their Gigs From Its Platform.
Social media has been abuzz for the past few days with reports that Fiverr the freelancing giant has been removing Pakistani freelancers gigs and showing unavailability status on Pakistani freelancers profiles. after the news went viral on internet many freelancers showed there anger and disappointment on social media platform regarding this issue.
Fiverr has issued a notification to Pakistani freelancers stating that their gigs are being made unavailable on Fiverr platform. the notification said, We understand that there may be internet disruptions in your area that might make it harder to keep your routine going. To make sure any unexpected order delays won’t hurt your ratings, we’re going ahead and temporarily setting your availability status and Gig(s) as “unavailable.” Keep in mind that this action will not negatively impact your ratings.
As wee know that internet services has been suffering from disruption for a long time in Pakistan many people complaint that they are facing slow internet
Many people said that they are having trouble using Facebook and some users complained that they are having trouble sending pictures and voice notes over WhatsApp. Mostly social media platforms under Meta facing issues. and some users are using them with the help of VPN software.
Social media users showed there anger on the situation and share there views on social media platform X/Twitter
Remember that planform X/Twitter is also facing ban from the government of Pakistan from several months and many people thinking that the main issue of the internet disruption in Pakistan is that the government is testing its firewall to prevent users to reach block sites with the help of VPN software.
After the issue get highlighted the Fiverr team also reacted to the issue and Kesha a senor staff at Fiverr share in Fiverr community platform regarding the same issue.
Kesha Wrote
“Hi community! We have a quick announcement for our sellers in Pakistan.
On July 31st, we were notified that the region was impacted by internet outages. We immediately took action to ensure that your account was not affected by unexpected and unpreventable delays.
What did we do?
On August 1st, we temporarily set all gigs and availability status’ for our Pakistani sellers to unavailable, ensuring your ratings and success score were not impacted by factors outside of your control.”
