Heavy Monsoon Rains Predicted By Meteorological Department In Pakistan During August.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains from August 1 to August 6 during the monsoon season across the country.

The Meteorological Department said that from July 31, winds from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal will enter the upper regions of the country, bringing heavy rains across the country.

The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in most parts of Azad Kashmir, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan. While heavy rains are also expected in Islamabad.

According to weather forecasters, there is a risk of flooding in the rivers of Murree, Guliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Islamabad and Rawalpindi between 2nd August to 5th August.

There is also a fear of flooding. The Department of Meteorology has expressed the fear of inundation of the low-lying areas of Islamabad, central and southern Punjab and Peshawar, while the low-lying areas of Sindh may also be inundated on August 4 and 5.

Apart from this, due to landslides in the hilly areas, there is a risk of affecting the traffic movement, in this regard, instructions are being issued to the concerned institutions to be on alert.
