
FIR lodged Against National Award Winging Indian Choreographer Jani Master Over Sexual Harassment Case
Shaik Jani Basha, professionally known as Jani Master in Telugu Cinema accused for sexullay abusing his junior choreographer multiple time during outdoor shoot and at her residence. Jani worked in Telugu and Tamil cinema, also worked for Hindi movies and won National Film Award, three Filmfare Awards South.
According to the Indian media Jani accused of sexually abusing a junior colleague of him during shoot and at her residence in Hyderabad. A 21 year’s old girl said that she had worked multiple times on different projects with choreographer in different cities of India including Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad and choreographer abused her multiple times. Acting to this The Cyberabad Raidurgam Police lodged First Information Report (FIR) against the Jani.

The police have lodged the FIR against choreographer under clause (2) and (n) of section 376 (rape), criminal intimidation (506) and voluntarily causing hurt (323) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). according to indiatoday.
After the incident got highlighted The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) issued an official investigation into the case and assured that the panel is collecting the details and evidence and will take necessary action on girl’s complaint against Jani.

Official announcement read. “The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has received a sexual harassment complaint from a choreographer who is a member of Telugu Film & TV Dancers & Dance Directors Association, and the same has been referred to the sexual harassment redressal panel of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (sic).”
“The internal complaints committee has convened, and the enquiry is going on as per the Guidelines of POSH Act 2013. We are aware that the aggrieved party has made a complaint with the police department for which an FIR has been registered.” reacting to the FIR committee added.
