England star batsman Joe Root has created a new history by becoming the first player to score more than 1000 runs in all three periods of the ICC Test Championship.Joe Root broke the record of Brian Lara during the third Test match played between England and West Indies. He becomes the seventh player in the history of Test Cricket. To score the most runs in Test Cricket. Root scored 87 runs in the first innings of the third Test against West Indies, taking his tally to 1023 runs in 13 matches played in the ongoing Test Championship.

Earlier, Root was able to score more than 1000 runs in the first and second Test championships. Currently, he is in second place among the cricketers who have scored the most Test runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal is there with 1028 runs from India.
