Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem fulfilled Pakistan’s dream of winning a gold medal in the Olympics Men’s Javelin Throw Final. Arshad Nadeem not only won a gold medal in javelin throw but also broke the old Olympic record with his powerful throw of 92.97 meter.
Arshad Nadeem became the first ever individual gold medalist in the Olympics for Pakistan. Arshad Nadeem quenched Pakistan’s 32-year-old thirst by winning the gold medal.
Arshad Nadeem won the title in his second attempt to break the old Olympic record and his 92.97 meter’s throw was enough to take him to the top spot in the race for gold.

Arshad Nadeem accomplished this feat when six of the seven Pakistan’s athletes were disqualified from the Olympic race and were Pakistan’s last hope.
This throw also broke the record for the longest throw in Olympic history, which was held by Norway’s Andreas Thorkildsen with a record of 90.57m at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Along with this, India’s Neeraj Chopra, who won the gold medal in the previous Olympics, threw 89.45 meters and won the silver medal, and the third place was Grenada’s Anderson Peters, who won the bronze medal with a throw of 88.54 meters.
