
PTA Introduced Online VPN And IP Registration System To Use Registered VPN Software For Organizations And Freelancers.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA has started the process of Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and Internet Protocol (IP) registration to ensure that online businesses don’t face any problem from firewall installation, software houses, call centers, freelancers and online earnings platform users can register VPN software on PTA website to use without facing any issue.
“To facilitate businesses of software houses, call centres, freelancers and foreign missions and embassies for their legitimate, secure and uninterrupted operations, VPNs are being registered under ‘one window’ operations available at the PTA and PSEB website, It is an ongoing activity which is being continuously streamlined by PTA, Ministry of IT, PSEB and P@SHA. Over 20,000 IPs have been registered for VPNs since 2020.”The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said in a statement.

This development is a part of the process that for a long time people in Pakistan were facing problems using the Internet, some faced slow Internet and some suffered from complete Internet outages. It’s been almost 6 months since the Social networking service which was earlier named as Twitter and now called X is still blocked in Pakistan, Many people were using different VPN software without registering from PTA to reach blocked websites including X.
The registration process is now available VPN users can register through one “Window Operation” by visiting PTA website and PSEB websites. VPN Registration and IP Whitelisting System.
This registration initiative ensures that businesses maintain their secure work and online operations without interruption. PTA Encourage the organizations to register VPN software to use VPN services and secure your digital activities and operations.
