Video streaming platform YouTube which is a part of Google has introduced a new feature which has made its users quite angry as now after they pause on a YouTube video, YouTube will show them an advertiser’s ad.
“As we’ve seen both strong advertiser and strong viewer response, we’ve since widely rolled out Pause ads to all advertisers,” YouTube comms manager Oluwa Falodun said to The Verge.
After this new feature, when a user is watching any video and he pauses it, a screen will appear with the ad and on the right side of the screen there will be an option of skip or dismiss, from which you can dismiss it and continue watching.
Users who don’t want to be bothered by ads during a video can purchase the YouTube Premium service starting at $14.
